Lean
Manufacturing
Company
Goal
To
constantly move the entire PMW organization higher up the improvement chain.
Committed to the endless pursuit of waste elimination.
Precision
Machine Works was first introduced to Lean Manufacturing concepts in August
1997. By January 1998, Lean Manufacturing became a company initiative to promote
cost reduction throughout all aspects of the company.
Since that time, we have worked hard to involve all employees in our Lean
Workshops focused at identifying and reducing the waste in our business. Individuals
have trained and certified in faciliting workgroups and events related to
Lean Manufacturing. We work closely with our customers on specific improvements
they would like to see.
Five levels of Lean improvement have been identified for the company to attain.
It is our belief, that with this roadmap for improvement, we will become a
more successful and highly regarded supplier.
